Ayaatech Establishes New UAV BMS R&D Department to Strengthen Drone Battery Management System Innovation
Ayaatech has officially established a new UAV BMS R&D Department, marking another important step in the company's long-term focus on drone battery management system development.
As drones are used in more demanding applications, battery systems are expected to do much more than simply provide power. For agricultural drones, inspection drones, heavy-lifting UAVs, rescue drones, and high-voltage platforms, the battery management system must support safer operation, stable communication, accurate data monitoring, and reliable high-current performance.
The new department was created to strengthen Ayaatech's ability to meet these requirements with faster development, deeper testing, and more dedicated UAV BMS engineering support.

The new UAV BMS R&D Department focuses on drone BMS design, testing, customization, and engineering validation for industrial UAV battery applications.
| Company | Ayaatech |
| New Department | UAV BMS R&D Department |
| Main Focus | Drone BMS design, testing, customization, and engineering validation |
| Application Fields | Agricultural drones, inspection drones, heavy-lifting UAVs, rescue drones, and eVTOL platforms |
| Key Technologies | CAN, UART, RS485, BLE, DroneCAN, SOC/SOH monitoring, and high-current protection |
A New Step in UAV BMS Development
The new R&D department will focus on the design and improvement of smart BMS solutions for drone battery packs.
Its work includes circuit design, PCB layout, firmware debugging, battery data monitoring, communication protocol integration, and functional testing. These are all important steps before a UAV BMS can be used in real flight applications.
For Ayaatech, this department is not just an expansion of office space or team structure. It represents a more focused investment in the drone power system field.
By building a dedicated UAV BMS R&D team, Ayaatech aims to respond more quickly to customer requirements and provide more reliable customized solutions for different drone platforms.

Designed for Real Drone Applications
Drone battery systems face very different challenges compared with common lithium battery applications.
During flight, the battery pack may need to handle high discharge current, vibration, temperature changes, fast load variation, and continuous communication with the flight controller. Any unstable battery data or unexpected power interruption may directly affect flight safety.
That is why Ayaatech continues to improve its UAV BMS design around real application needs.
The company's drone BMS solutions support different voltage platforms, high-current output requirements, and communication interfaces such as CAN, UART, RS485, BLE, and DroneCAN. They can also be developed for flight controllers including PX4, ArduPilot, JiyiUAV, VKCAN, SKYRCCAN, and BOYINGCAN.
With the new R&D department, Ayaatech will continue improving key functions such as SOC/SOH monitoring, cell balancing, fault alarms, battery protection logic, and flight-mode safety strategies.
From PCB Design to Testing Validation
The newly established department also improves Ayaatech's internal development workflow.
From the early design stage to final testing, engineers can now work more closely on hardware design, software adjustment, and real-time battery performance validation.
In the R&D lab, engineers carry out PCB design, BMS software debugging, battery data reading, power supply testing, and protection function verification. These daily engineering tasks help ensure that each UAV BMS design is tested carefully before delivery.

For customized drone battery projects, this process is especially important.
Different UAVs may require different voltage ranges, current levels, battery pack structures, communication protocols, and protection strategies. A standard solution is not always enough. Ayaatech's R&D team works according to the actual drone platform and battery pack requirements, helping customers build BMS solutions that better match their applications.
Supporting Custom UAV BMS Solutions
Customization has always been an important part of Ayaatech's UAV battery management system service.
Some customers need a lightweight BMS for compact inspection drones. Some need high-current support for agricultural or heavy-lifting UAVs. Others may require high-voltage battery management for eVTOL or large industrial drone platforms.
The new UAV BMS R&D Department will help Ayaatech provide stronger support in these areas:
- Custom UAV BMS hardware design
- Drone battery pack communication integration
- CAN and DroneCAN protocol development
- High-current discharge management
- Low-voltage and high-voltage BMS solutions
- Battery monitoring software debugging
- Application-specific protection logic
- OEM and ODM drone battery project support
By improving both design and testing capabilities, Ayaatech can offer customers a more complete development process from initial requirement analysis to final product delivery.

Building More Reliable Drone Power Systems
For professional UAVs, a reliable battery system is one of the foundations of stable flight.
Ayaatech believes that every drone battery management system should be designed with safety, communication, and real operating conditions in mind. The establishment of the new UAV BMS R&D Department reflects this belief.
Looking ahead, Ayaatech will continue to invest in UAV BMS technology, engineering validation, and customized development. The company will keep working with drone manufacturers, battery pack integrators, and industrial UAV solution providers to build safer, smarter, and more efficient drone power systems.
With the new R&D department in place, Ayaatech is better prepared to support the next generation of drone battery management system innovation.
