Product Introduction

The EF-002 is a configurable smart battery management system designed for high-current agricultural UAV battery packs with 14S–24S series configurations and a continuous operating current of up to 300 A.

It provides real-time monitoring of individual cell voltage, total pack voltage, current, temperature and state of charge (SOC). Integrated MOSFET output control and configurable protection functions help the battery pack respond to abnormal voltage, current and temperature conditions during charging, storage and flight operations.

For low-temperature applications, the EF-002 supports battery-heating control. The heating function activates when the battery temperature falls to 0°C or below and stops when the temperature reaches 10°C or above. The maximum heating current is 10 A.

For UAV system integration, the BMS supports DroneCAN (UAVCAN) and MODBUS communication protocols, together with CAN 2.0B and isolated UART interfaces.

Technical FAQ for EF-002 Integration

Q: Does the BMS include a heating function for cold environments?
Yes. The built-in heating function activates when temperature drops to ≤0°C and deactivates at ≥10°C, drawing 10 A from the charge circuit. The BMS operates reliably in temperatures as low as −30°C.
Q:What protection features are included?
The EF-002 provides configurable over-charge, over-discharge, over-current,
short-circuit and temperature protection. Protection thresholds can be
configured according to the selected battery chemistry, pack configuration
and UAV application requirements.
Q:Can the EF-002 be used with parallel battery-pack configurations?
Parallel battery-pack configurations can be supported according to the UAV system requirements. Please provide the pack configuration, current-sharing strategy and application details so that our engineering team can confirm the appropriate solution.
Q: Does the EF-002 support passive cell balancing?
Yes. The EF-002 supports configurable passive cell balancing to help reduce cell-voltage differences during battery-pack operation. Balancing thresholds and current settings can be configured according to the selected battery-pack requirements.
Q:How can I configure the EF-002 parameters?
Protection thresholds, balancing settings and battery-capacity parameters can be configured through the PC configuration tool using the USB Type-C interface. Wireless configuration and diagnostics are also available through the optional BLE module. Configured parameters are stored in the BMS memory.
